Terms and Conditions for Booking Tents & campervans

Our full Terms and Conditions for booking and staying at Parknoweth farm Camping (Parknoweth campsite) including booking through the website are as detailed below and as published elsewhere on our website – your booking and/or arrival to the site assumes you have read, understood and agree to abide by these simple rules by which you will enable everyone to enjoy their holiday. Please note that these Terms & Conditions are under regular review and may change to meet changes in law, Industry or Government advice.

If you are making a booking, please take particular note of the following summary:

  1. Deposits and fees paid to confirm bookings are non-refundable in the event of cancellation by you.

  2. Full settlement of fees are due ON ARRIVAL for the number of nights booked. We cannot guarantee availability for any nights not paid – there are no exceptions. The price will not be subject to any change unless there are unexpected Government / council charge increases.

  3. You need to be 18 or over to make a booking and only those named may stay on the Site as a part of your booking. Please indicate or discuss any special requirements or medical considerations at the time of your booking.

  4. Please ensure you have travel insurance or accept the liabilities as in our extended Terms & Conditions. Everyone intending to stay at Parknoweth camp site should have a suitable Travel Insurance Policy in place. There are companies that cover you for epidemic or pandemic disease or you are subject to compulsory quarantine whilst on holiday.

  5. Please always (re) check your dates, party details and all other information – your booking is your responsibility. You must tell us in advance if your booking request is connected with any other booking.

  6. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of your booking, please contact us. Any requests to amend or cancel your booking will be addressed directly to the contact details included in your confirmation. Please let us know if your contact details change. Please check our confirmation carefully to see that it reflects your wishes. Please let us know any differences within seven days unless your holiday is to start within 14 days in which case you should inform us within 24hrs.

Arrivals & Departing

  1. Bookings are from 2.30pm on day of arrival to 11.00am on day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. Parking is available for those travelling at other times. You must tell us by 6pm if you are likely to arrive later than 7:30pm. Instructions are left on the reception door.

  2. If we have not heard from you by 10am on the day after your expected arrival, we may release your booking. You will not be entitled to a refund.

  3. You must vacate by 11.00 am on the day of your departure. An additional charge may be made for a late departure. You can park in the car park to travel later by arrangement with us.

  4. No one can pitch between 10pm and 9am and you must make advance arrangements with us to park in the late arrivals area – peak season. You may not pitch after 10pm. If you are after 10pm, the earliest you may then arrive on the next day is 10.00am. You can park in the car park if pre-arranged. You will be charged for the night.

  5. Fees are due ON ARRIVAL and for the number of nights BOOKED. We will not guarantee availability for nights not paid. There will be no exceptions.

Pitches

  1. One car per pitch. Arrangements must be made in advance for additional cars. There will be a charge for additional cars and day visitors.

  2. We will try to allocate the location of your choice on the Site, but this cannot be guaranteed, and bookings are not conditional on this.

  3. Your location on the Site and directions to it and pitching instructions shall be confirmed on arrival. If you are in any doubt, please check with us. Any guest staying in the wrong location may be required to move.

Additional Terms

  1. Group Bookings may not be acceptable, and you are advised to confirm with the reception beforehand that we are prepared to accept such booking. In the event that Parknoweth Farm has not been made aware and is not able to accept this type of group or activity then the booking may be cancelled, and cancellation fees may apply, according to the normal policy. There will be an additional group deposit payable in advance and returned at end of your stay if the ethos of the site has been respected.

Insurance

  1. We may make reasonable changes to our Services. Our changes may reflect changes in relevant law, guidance and regulatory requirements or implement minor technical adjustments and improvements, for example to address health and safety risk.

  2. We are not liable for damages or losses that may result from travel to, or staying in, any destination and it is your responsibility to check that you have adequate insurance cover, including but not limited to the cost of cancellation, personal losses, and medical costs. “It is a requirement that you have a minimum of £2,500,000 personal liability insurance for the duration of your stay at Parknoweth Farm. We would recommend you consider additional covers such as; loss or damage to your own property, cancellation expenses, medical expenses.”

  3. The businesses and owners accept no responsibility or liability for accidents, injuries, or losses whatsoever. The Parknoweth farm businesses and owners accept no responsibility or liability for any damage or loss of guests property how so ever caused. Parknoweth Farm is a working farm. Visitors must not trespass into the farm buildings, onto machinery or into fields. Farm staff may request/put in place measures to be followed if moving cattle or machinery. You must not feed the farm cats or encourage them back to your tents. (They are fed twice daily) We are happy to arrange a supervised tour of the farm.

Payment Card Fraud

  1. Please report any fraudulent activity on your credit card, charge card or debit card (“Payment Card”) to your card provider or bank in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures immediately and contact us at Reception for any assistance using the details. In the event of fraudulent or unauthorised use of your Payment Card by third parties Parknoweth Farm does not accept any liability.

 

Cancellation of the holiday ‘by you’

  1. You may cancel your holiday at any time. Cancellation will be effective on the date it is received by us, and no refund of deposits will be made. We strongly recommend taking out your own cancellation insurance.

Cancellation of the holiday ‘by us’ 

  1. If we are unable to provide the booked holiday and have to make a cancellation before it is due to start, you will be entitled to a full refund of the money you have paid. Parknoweth Farm Camping and associated businesses will not accept liability for any additional associated costs or compensation.

  2. Parknoweth Farm Camping are not liable for refunds, or expenses you incur, in the event we are prevented from fulfilling your booking as a result of circumstances beyond our control. Such circumstances shall include (but not be limited to) war, terrorism, riots or civil unrest, industrial action, flooding, natural disaster, epidemics, health risks or such similar events (“Force Majeure”). We recommend that you ensure you have adequate holiday insurance in place to cover this.

Site Rules/Behaviour Standards

  1. You are expected to act in a courteous and considerate manner towards us, our staff and anyone visiting, using, or working on the Site including other customers.

  2. Any incidents/ accidents must be reported to the reception. Please inform us of any problems immediately.No bikes or skateboards to be ridden near entrances & washrooms. 

  3. Damage: Anyone found defacing or causing damage to any building, equipment or property faces immediate eviction & prosecution.

  4. Day Visitors: All visitors must report to reception, register their details, and obtain passes. There is a charge for day visitors. The site is not a car park for friends & family.

  5. Fires: Fires are only to be burned in firepits off the ground and only when wind conditions allow for ‘‘straight up’’ smoke without hinderance of smoke blowing across neighbouring pitches. Embers can damage tents and are a fire risk. be mindful fire smoke can be unpleasant for others. BBQ`s are allowed but must be raised off the ground to avoid damage to pitch. They must not cause a nuisance to others and must be dampened down & covered properly. No hot BBQ ashes are to be put in the bins. No Chinese Lanterns

    we always reserve the right to request you to put out any fires that we feel are a danger or cause nuisance to other site users or equipment.

  6. Deliveries: Supermarket deliveries are not permitted on site. We encourage use of local suppliers and businesses.

  7. Ground Sheets: Breathable ground sheets must be used and remain uncovered by additional mats. We request that sheets are lifted periodically, and awning sides opened to allow pitches to air and grass to grow. You will allow us to inspect your pitch condition and help with remedial action. We expect you to assist us in pitch maintenance as required.

  8. Guns/Weapons: Toy firing guns, including BB guns are not permitted.

  9. Noise: In respect of others, radios, television etc to be kept at a low volume. The playing of instruments etc is to be kept low at all times so as not to disturb others. We expect the site to be quiet between 10.00pm and 8am. You will always respect our neighbours and their property. Please return from the beach etc quietly.

  10. Rubbish: Bring your rubbish back and use bins provided. Groups congregating and reported for unsociable behaviour will be asked to leave the site.

  11. Parents: you must ensure you know where your children are, you will be responsible for your children’s actions, and we expect them to be back at your pitch by 9.00pm. Do not allow them to congregate in areas you cannot supervise. Use of motorised scooters on Site is prohibited.

  12. Dogs, and Other Pets: If you bring your dog/pet with you we ask that you: always keep the dog on a short lead on the site & surrounding fields. You must clean up after your dog/pet and do not leave your dog/pet unattended at any time. We reserve the right to require that the owner removes their dog or any other pet from the site if it is a nuisance or danger to other guests.

  13. All signs must be adhered to – they are there for a reason. Speed limit – bottom gear applies throughout the site. Headlights must be kept dipped at night. We reserve the right to ask you to use the car park if returning late at night. Stay on the roadways when possible.

  14. The management & staff of Parknoweth Farm, have the right to implement any extra measures, without notice, that we deem necessary for the safety of our visitors and staff.

Cancelling the booking because you are in breach of these Terms and Conditions

  1. We may cancel your holiday if you are in serious breach of your obligations in these Terms and Conditions and the breach is not capable of being remedied or is such that it causes a breakdown in the relationship between you and us (for example violence or intentional damage to property) by serving upon you reasonable notice in writing to cancel your booking. In deciding what period of notice is reasonable, we shall have due regard to the nature of the breach and other relevant circumstances. In appropriate cases, this may mean requiring you to leave the Site immediately.

  2. If you are in breach of any of your obligations in these Terms and Conditions which is capable of being remedied (for example, a failure to comply with the behaviour standards in clauses 23-38 which has not caused a breakdown in the relationship between you and us) we may write giving you warning, specifying the breach and asking you to remedy the breach within a reasonable and specified time. If you do not comply with that warning and the breach is either serious and/or amounts to persistent breaches of obligation, which taken individually would be minor but which when taken together cause a breakdown in the relationship between you and us, we are entitled to write to you to cancel your booking. In appropriate cases, the warning we give you may be very short, and we may require you to leave the Site immediately.

Special Conditions – Postponement and cancellation relating to Government guidance.

  1. This clause explains when you, or we, may cancel or agree to postpone your holiday due to Government restrictions/advice. We prefer that you postpone but will always allow you to cancel where the law gives you the right to do so.

  2. The rights in this clause are additional to any other rights either of us may have in our terms and conditions.

  3. We promise to keep all our customers safe. We ask you not to book if the law prevents you visiting or staying with us, or if Government guidance means that you should not visit or stay with us even if the law still allows you to. Our promise also means that there are limited circumstances in which we may need to cancel your holiday.

  4. Either of us has the right to cancel your holiday, or any full unused days, if the law prevents you from visiting or staying with us. If your holiday has not started, then we will refund your booking in full less any costs we have already incurred on your holiday which we cannot recover elsewhere (“Direct Costs”). If your holiday has started, then we will refund in full any full days unused when we cancel, again less any Direct Costs. We will not charge an administration fee.

  5. Either of us also has the right to cancel your holiday, or any full unused days, if Government guidance means that you should not visit or stay with us, even if the law still allows you to do so. If your holiday has not started, then we will refund your booking in full.

  6. If your holiday has started, then we will refund in full any full days unused when we cancel, again less any direct costs. We will not charge an administration fee.

Changes to our facilities and services.

  1. We may make reasonable changes to the facilities and services at the Site provided these changes do not materially reduce their quality. Our changes may reflect changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements or implement minor technical adjustments and improvements, for example to address a health and safety risk. If we make changes to the facilities and services at the Site which materially reduce their quality, we will give you the choice between confirming your booking, agreeing new booking dates with us or cancelling. If your holiday has not started and you decide to cancel, then we will refund your booking in full. If your holiday has started, then we will refund in full any full days unused when we cancel. We will not charge an administration fee, and we will not deduct any Direct Costs.
